Life in Perpetual Beta’s interview with Nova Spivack CEO of Radar Networks (the makers of Twine) about the Semantic Web and how the internet has changed the way we think about ourselves and business.
I love how he had to hold onto something while he spoke, he must be a kinetic learner. He just so happens to be holding a transformer toy I had in my pocket for just such and occasion. Nova Spivack has one of those brains that I immediately just want to absorb in one globulous gulp… I mean that in the most wonderful of alien brain sucking ways of course, he has some great ideas and perspective, he seems like one of those people that you could discuss just about anything with and he’d be completely engaged.
He said something that really struck a cord with me, he mentioned that the internet has changed the way we think about ourselves. Really?
Has the internet really changed the way I think about who I am in relation to the world around me?
Is this the question I’m after? Well, no, not quite, but I’ve never really thought of that before. How has the internet changed the way we think about who we are?

Darren,
I have been using Twine for a little while now, I got the to let me try it for researching before my interview. It seems that I have 22 invites to Twine, so, I’ve sent you one, now you can try it for yourself.
That’s pretty deviant what you are suggesting with friends and affiliates! But in a way, the people you are connected to on twine and the stuff you choose to “add” will influence what you find when you search. So maybe there is some validity to your concern.
After meeting Nova though, I don’t think that it quite works that way. Hey, but what do I know, I’m a life coach on the search for answers about creativity and authenticity, not a software engineer!
